The preliminary program for the 2008 HSS Annual Meeting is available here. This is not the final version, which will be placed online early in October. You may still edit your abstract or session and the edited version will be included in the final version 0f the program.

Outreach Day at this year's 3 Society Meeting (4-6 July, Oxford) will include debates, plays, scientific instruments and old songs as a way of taking history of science to new audiences.

Darwin and the advantage of a private income
Janet Browne delivered the second Joseph H. Hazen Lecture on 21 May 2008 at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. The video of her talk, “'The advantage of a private income': Charles Darwin, evolutionary theory, and the natural economy of households," is now available.
